A sheriff’s deputy in Henrico County, Virginia has been arrested for allegedly beating his teen son with his service revolver.
Richmond’s WRIC news station reported that 40-year-old deputy Turon Johnson Senior, who works at the Henrico County Jail East, told his 15-year-old son he was going to “show him what it meant to be a thug” before beating him in the forehead with the butt of his unloaded work gun.
Johnson’s son reportedly blacked out after the attack and was bleeding from the wound.
The deputy, who previously worked for the Richmond Sheriff’s Office, was released on a $4,000 bail with a no-contact order from the judge. Johnson was suspended from his position, and was forced to turn over the service revolver allegedly used in the attack along with his badge.
